We either embrace aging as the natural development through life or we tend to think and/or speak about a past age when we functioned a different way than now; one approach is rewarding and the other, disheartening. Science is telling us we can raise the bar for what is possible from ourselves. To do so, we must understand, imagine and change perceptions/mindsets. Growing older truly can be the most fulfilling experience of our life. You might wonder: “How can this be true given the great life I have lived until now, noticing things have changed and I haven’t been in charge.” Begin this mindful journey at any age and grow your capacity to say how your body goes. Science says: You get to say more than you realize!
